The List

A number of girls in my daughter's 11th grade class have older
siblings who, after some time and attempt, are still seeking a marriage partner.
The entire class decided to divide up the perakim of Tehillim among
themselves, and complete the entire Sefer Tehillim every day, for forty
days, as a zechus for the girls' older siblings to get married. (They
committed to praying from the Book of Psalms.)

Their dilemma was in how to approach their teacher. It's a painful
"known secret" that the teacher herself has several older, as-yet
unmarried, children. The girls felt not only embarrassed to talk to her,
but also that their doing so might be disrespectful. This is what they
did: they told her about the project, and mentioned that if the teacher
had anyone to add, she could let them know. She immediately said, "I will
add my children's names."

The girls have been saying Tehillim for one week. Within a few weeks, someone on
The List got engaged!

It was the teacher's son!

When the first forty days were up, a few more people on The List had gotten engaged,
and the girls decided to continue with the project. A few months later, seven people
on The List had gotten engaged!
